Bubbled Memories

Ceramics 2
Class of 2027
For my Spring Art Show 2023 I made 15 pieces. For each piece I threw and shaped on the wheel.. A lot of pieces kept breaking at first, but I eventually got the technique. At first I wanted to make each piece of my art show for each person in my family, but I decided it would be too difficult with six weeks to create. While at first I just wanted to have them as decoration, I rather wanted a meaning behind each one. Making each piece there was a lot going on around me, which made this class really fun and made me want to keep building onto my skill. A few of the memories I have are the kiln trips and just the fun classes. I came in during my study halls with my friends and we would get a lot done. Those study halls were really fun because we got a lot closer. I have been in ceramics class since the first day of school. I wanted to build onto my skill after the first semester so I wanted to do ceramics 2. Ceramics have made me meet some of my friends now that I have gotten close with. Ceramics taught me a lot of lessons as well, the main one being patience. I never had patience, but at times I do. After this semester I will be going into freshman year. I hope to be back in the studio a lot next year. I am so happy I decided to do ceramics in eighth grade.
